Chapter 3: (Three Mondstadt Act)

Prologue Act 3: Song of the Dragon and Freedom

The story follows with Diluc, Venti, the Traveler, and others as they work to resolve issues caused by the Abyss Order and save Mondstadt.

Diluc informs the group that a mage linked to the Abyss Order had been defeated by his people at the winery, releasing a special energy. Venti realizes this energy had been severing his connection to Dvalin, who had been corrupted. With this knowledge, they head to Stormterror’s Lair, where Venti dispels the barrier protecting the ruins. Inside, they struggle to reach the top due to remnants of old Mondstadt, but eventually activate a mechanism to proceed.

The group encounters Dvalin, the Traveler’s uses their power to purify a crystal, they freed him from the Abyss Order’s influence. Dvalin then forgives Venti and they clear up the misunderstanding with the people of Mondstadt, who believed Dvalin had attacked them without cause.

Back in the city, Amber shares that while they dealt with Dvalin, the knights fended off a hilichurl attack, though she’s upset with Kaeya for not helping. Kaeya reveals that he intercepted Abyss Order infiltrators in the city and learned of a single leader uniting the group.

Later, at the Cathedral, Venti repairs the Holy Lyre, but soon after, Fatui agents appear, and their leader, La Signora (The Fair Lady), who attacks Venti and stole his Gnosis. The Traveler is knocked out and awakened, where he found that Venti was gone. At Windrise, the traveler met Venti, he explains what the Gnosis is and reveals that Signora is one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, serving the Tsaritsa, the Archon of Snezhnaya. The Tsaritsa's actions stem from a catastrophe that severed her relationship with the other Archons. Venti suggests the Traveler visit Liyue to speak with the Geo Archon during the Rite of Descension.
